When you are fighting a trainer that’s using a lv. 8 Bellsprout (Grass type), and you get that Bellsprout down to like 1 or 2 HP, do not be tempted to go “hurr, I’ll let mah [lv. 6] Poliwag [Water type] finish it off, woot XP!”
Especially do not do this on a run where you are playing by rules that basically treat any fainted Pokemon as if they have died.
I’m using the “shove them into a PC box” method of removing “dead” Pokemon from the party, because a) it allows me to keep track of just how many Pokemon my ineptitude ends up slaughtering and b) the ever-growing Pokeboneyard will be one more thing to screencap and hang out for y’all to point and laugh at as this run goes on.
